On the second day of its release, the film grossed Rs 58 crore. Globally, the film has made more than Rs 220 crore, putting it on track to surpass Ek Tha Tiger’s global gross of Rs 330 crore from just over a decade ago. In comparison, Tiger Zinda Hai grossed Rs 565 crore in 2017.
Tiger 3 had a 33% Hindi-language occupancy on day three, while the token Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions had occupancy of less than 20% each. Tiger 3 isn’t doing as well in South India as Shah Rukh Khan’s two 2023 hits, Pathaan and Jawan. His highest-grossing film in the world is Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which grossed over Rs 900 crore. Tiger 3 will attempt to surpass the Rs 475 global gross set by Hrithik Roshan’s War after surpassing the first Tiger’s lifetime haul.
Tiger 3 is the fifth installment in YRF’s shared universe of spy films, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Pathaan and War are also part of the franchise. Both Shah Rukh and Hrithik made cameo appearances in Tiger 3, teasing future installments. Ayan Mukerji is currently directing War 2, and a Tiger vs. Pathaan film has already been teased with director Siddharth Anand attached.
